Some requirements community must know about the program are as follows:
-
Community will be required to purchase 2 inch binders for each of the participants (to insert and store their weekly handouts).
-
The program is seven sessions, so participants must commit to attend all seven sessions to receive certificate. One excused allowed, but catch -up required, because each session builds on the last session.
-
The sessions also encourage community involvement, so each session requires an elder, community leader, or positive role model, to open each session with prayer/smudge and provide a brief teaching on one of the seven teachings that correspond for that week. WRTHS will provide cultural support staff (Roddy & Shannon), depending on availability. ☺️
-
Seven teachings, in order of each week are as follows: Courage, Honesty, Humility, Respect, Love, Wisdom, & Truth.
-
The last session(truth) includes a small graduation & lunch to acknowledge the participants for completing the program. Guests are allowed to attend mini-graduation.
-
No less than 5 participants and max 10 people.
-
Smart tv or projector/screen required.
-
Lunch to be provided by community host.
-
Sessions run from 10:00 am to approximately 2:30 pm once per week.
-
Program style similar to a life skills program.
-
Weather and road conditions permitting.
-
Schedule is flexible if dates conflict with other events in the community.
